Update CertGuardian

The CertGuardian Docker files are usually located in the home directory of the root user or user that manages CertGuardian

For example:

bash
/home/<user>/certguardian-docker-images

You can check the current user's home directory with:

bash
echo $HOME

The CertGuardian folder is usually named certguardian-docker-images.

Before updating, make sure you are working with the correct CertGuardian installation directory.

Backup CertGuardian

Before updating CertGuardian, it is recommended to create a backup.

See the Backup and Restore documentation for instructions.

Pull the latest Docker images

From the CertGuardian installation directory, run:

bash
docker compose pull

Recreate containers

After the images have been downloaded, recreate the running containers:

bash
docker compose up --force-recreate -d

Check logs

After the update, check the CertGuardian logs to make sure the services started correctly:

bash
docker compose logs

If CertGuardian has started correctly you should see in the logs:

log
