Microsoft Exchange

CertGuardian allows certificates to be installed automatically on Microsoft Exchange servers through the certificates.yaml configuration file.

This file is located inside the agent's config directory:

text
certguardian-agent/
├── certguardian-agent.exe
└── config/
    └── certificates.yaml

Configuration Example

The following example shows a certificate configured for installation on Microsoft Exchange:

yaml
certificates:
  - id: 204
    installations:
      - id: exchange-production
        type: windows_exchange
        config:

Configuration Structure

id

yaml
id: 204

This identifier must match the certificate identifier configured in the platform.

installations

List of installations associated with the certificate.

yaml

A certificate can have one or more installations.

installation.id

Unique installation identifier.

yaml
id: exchange-production

This value is used to identify the installation within the configuration file.

installation.type

Installation type that will be executed by the agent.

For Microsoft Exchange installations, this value must be set to:

yaml
type: windows_exchange

installation.config

Microsoft Exchange installations do not require any additional configuration parameters.

yaml
config:

Microsoft Exchange Installation

Unlike other installation targets, Microsoft Exchange does not require installation paths, hostnames, bindings, or reload commands.

The agent will automatically detect the Microsoft Exchange installation available on the server and install the certificate into the corresponding services.

TIP

Current versions of CertGuardian assume a single Microsoft Exchange installation per server. For this reason, no additional configuration parameters are required.

CertGuardian is an SSL/TLS lifecycle automation tool developed and supported by Entorno Digital.
