Install the Agent as a Service on Linux

Once communication between the agent and the CertGuardian platform has been verified, the agent can be installed as a system service.

Requirements

Before proceeding, ensure that the server meets the following requirements:

  • AMD64 (x86_64) architecture.
  • systemd.
  • Root privileges or a user with sudo permissions.

Install the Service

Open a terminal in the directory where the agent is located and run:

bash
./certguardian-agent install

Once installed, start the service:

bash
./certguardian-agent start

Verify the Service Status

To verify that the service is running, execute:

bash
systemctl status cert-guardian-agent

The service should appear with a status similar to:

text
Active: active (running)

View Service Logs

You can view the service logs by running:

bash
journalctl -u cert-guardian-agent -f

This command will display the agent activity in real time.
